This professional learning activity is an 8-10 hour workshop which can be presented in various configurations. The workshop content is based on Robert Marzano’s meta-analysis of research on effective classroom management strategies. His research supports the fundamental idea that the teacher is perhaps the single most important factor affecting student achievement-at least the single most important that we can do much about. Simply put, good teachers make a difference.
This workshop is appropriate for student teachers, new teachers with little classroom management experience, as well as those teachers with more extensive experience who are looking to refine and revise their classroom management strategies.
Registration fees includes a copy of the book “Classroom Management That Works- Research Strategies for Every Teacher” by Dr. Robert J. Marzano.
Registration Fees: $220 + HST = $253.00

“Thank you. I used many of the strategies, suggestions and ideas during my practicum.”
“I especially liked the videos in which different teachers’ specific classrooms were profiled. This helps me formulate how I want my classroom to be-both positive and negative examples.”
“Awesome course! This was so helpful to me going into my first practicum.”
“I am more than pleased with everything I am taking away from this course.”
“The most useful part was when the instructors gave real examples of classroom management styles they used.”
“I think this should be a full course within our program. It is so important. With the book and the workbook there is enough to do for 10 weeks!”
“My practicum classroom already had excellent management in place but this course gave me more insight into why.”
